I see in the Sun this morning that Mayor Bronconnier and the majority of the city council have decided not to support the troops with stickers on city vehicles. Can someone please tell me what harm would have been done if the city had agreed to having the stickers on city vehicles? I am embarrased to be living in a city where the so called leaders of the city can't follow through with this simple gesture, even if you do not believe in this war why not show support for the people and their families that are making the sacrifices for us? I do not have any family in the military and I do not like to see people killed but our troops need our support. I can guarantee that I will not be voting fot Bronco and the boys that did not have the stones to do what was right.

Man do you have this all wrong, I don't believe anybody wishes the troops ill, but support of the troops implies support for the regime that sent them there.
Ask yourself one simple question, "If there was no oil in Iraqu would Bush still have invaded". The answer is obvious, of course he would not have. This incursion is imoral and ileagal the USA has no respect of international law and stands condemend before the world for its' criminal actions.
Pray for the safe withdrawl of the troops and that peace will reign in the area, pray for the people that suffer under the heel of American incursions. Don't justify what is happening on any basis at all as there is no justification............. Those who signup to the military do so knowing the job they are undertaking, they knew the risks and took them for the sake of a pay packet, to claim otherwise indicates a lack of understanding of the recruiting methods used to lure these men into military service.
Like all of us, if you put the hand out to collect the check, you do the bosses bidding.

I really don't care if Iraq has oil, it is obvious that you are concerned about that and you do not like the Americans nor their policies. I did not say the Bush should have invaded Iraq, I am not sure if that was the right decision, I guess time will tell. My point, was that the left wing idiots that run the city of Calgary should make a stand to support the families and soldiers that are in the war. I agree with you in praying for the safe return of all soldiers and but I also pray for those that are being suppressed and killed by the Taliban.
